2 Short Poems – Terrence Sykes

Verbs of Dreaming

Growing up in a world
of black & white
few shades of grey
until I discovered how
to conjugate
the verbs of dreaming

everyone asks if I’m blue
since your passing – me without you

looking at them – smiling & say ..No
just a faded old shade of indigo
