Light – Eftichia Kapardeli

In the motionless city
the white rose
of love forgotten

In the mud and soil
where the light diminishes
deeper and deeper slip

Angels wings encircle me
heavenly melodies with the “birth of light”
they acquit me

With the soul I seal this rhyme
I hit the earth with my feet and wake her up
in the warm sun forever I root here
