O the words I never wanted to write,
but always remained somewhere in my mind
I hope we see each other in the light.
If only some fire my words would ignite
then certainly some solace I would find.
O the words I never wanted to write
Recalling so very much late at night,
when from my labors I try to unwind,
I hope we see each other in the light.
In the long silences, try as I might
to remember those thoughts very kind.
O the words I never wanted to write
After valiant struggle, if then the fight
was lost to dreadful powers most malign
I hope we see each other in the light.
But somewhere stars are eternally bright;
in that place we would one another find.
O the words I never wanted to write,
I hope we see each other in the light.
