My cruel heart was unfair
when it tricked me
into gazing her eyes.
My cruel heart lied
when it told me
she was a guarantee.
My cruel heart laughed
when I learned she died
for a cheating man.
My cruel heart cried and
begged to try again
as I drove back home.
My cruel heart shuts up
after I ripped it in two.
